Espai TReS · Land and Social Responsibility is a team that designs and provides tools to engage public authorities, non-profit organizations, businesses and citizens towards a more responsible management of the rural, urban and natural environment. Our projects are meant to foster the culture of sustainability, towards a model of society that combines personal fulfillment and the balance of planet Earth.
Our projects deal with land as a whole, regarding the following topics: nature and biodiversity, landscape, land stewardship, land and urban development, ecotourism and the aforementioned culture of sustainability. Since our environment allows us to develop ourselves as individuals and as a society, we must manage it responsibly.
Our services are gathered in four work areas: knowledge, communication, participation and strategy. First, we need to generate and convey knowledge, the real foundation of any social commitment with land management. A next step is awareness, which we promote through the media. At a later stage, people already get involved in decisions that affect them, through instruments of deliberation and participation. Finally, we produce strategies to actively engage everyone in land management. This gradual process of social involvement is the foundation of all of our projects.

Our carreer: From X3 to Espai TReS
Espai TReS · Land and Social Responsibility is the result of the development and specialization of the team founded in 2002 under the name of X3 Estudis Ambientals. At the beginnings of X3, we developed technical projects in the field of environmental analysis and planning, but soon we incorporated social factors in our projects.
After more than 130 projects deepening into the social component of the land, we decided to update and refocus our services. Coinciding with the 10th anniversary of our founding, in 2012 we embody an inner transformation and X3 Estudis Ambientals becomes Espai TReS · Land and Social Responsibility.
